Door not being detected as open... initially.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

My 6Y Fabia is having some issues in the door department. When opening the drivers door recently, I noticed the fuel pump doesn't operate and the interior light isn't coming on. It isn't until I pull the door so it sits on the latch (but not fully closed) before the light comes on and the pump operates. The drivers door is the only door this is happening on.

Another related/unrelated note is that the remote central locking system is no longer working via the remote. The batteries used to run out regularly (at least a dozen batteries in 5 years of ownership) but the module was working up until recently. Could this all be related to the comfort module, or could it just be a strange coincidence? The remote stopped working a few weeks AFTER the door issue.

Thanks,

Oli

I've found a replacement comfort module which should be coming next week. I also know someone with VCDS. Has anyone ever copied the settings from one module to another before? It will be my first time using VCDS to do anything.
