Fitting led bulbs into courtesy lights and interior doors

Featured Replies

Hi,

I bought some led bulbs for my old mitsi interior lights and boy are they good.

Been resisting the temptation of tinkering with the yeti but now thinking I may just try this.

Any problems with canbus type thing with interior lights. If so then it's a no-go. Not going to meddle around with ballast resistors and the like.

Cheers

J

No problem - you'll be amazed at the improvement!

Interior and door lights aren't included in the "bulb failure" system.

I'll say this not because I have tried it, but because it nags at the back of my mind. IIRC LEDs don't do fading very well (well, not by voltage ramping anyway). Hence I wonder how well interior dome lights respond to the faded welcome and departure lighting, when replaced by LEDs?

Mine fade fine! Been in for nearly 4 years now and no issues!

Mine in the front map lights have been in for 4 years with no problems.
