Cheap eBay MAF Sensors

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Ive had a code come up on my VRS estate of 16486 (Mas or Volume Air Flow Circuit - Low Input) and experiencing some hesitation at around 1800 - 2000 rpm, would this code explain the problem?

If, so i was looking on ebay at MAF's and theyre pretty cheap, however has anyone used one of these cheaper MAF's and whats ur opinion?

Main reason for looking at one of the cheaper ones is that ive just bought the car and would rather not have to spend £100's more on her fixing problems.

Many Thanks for looking.

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a very quick search on here will show that non genuine bosch MAFs is just a gauranteed way to cause problems....

Thats a shame! :-(

Thanks for the reply

Buy cheap, buy twice.

try a bosch agent prob'ly cheaper than the stealers

No problem, I havnt done it myself, but there has been so many threads about ebay MAFs that packed up within days of changing, theres just no point in letting anyone risk doing it..

in the long term, its cheaper just get a genuine, OEM one. at least you only need to buy the one...

Did you buy it from a dealer? If you did and paid market value then I would be looking to get the dealer to pay for the replacement.
