Aftermarket steering wheel...

Featured Replies

Hi guys, got an aftermarket boss and wheel, with a standard 2 pin connection setup for horn. Can anyone shed any light on wiring the horn up? And do I need a resistor for the airbag wiring? If so what ohms, and which wires does it have to be spliced into? Presuming it's not just 2 wires?

Any help on this would be much appreciated,

Dale

I expect it would fail an mot due to obviously missing the airbag.

Great stuff..... Any input on the questions I've asked?

The horn should just be a straight forward plug in affair. You will need an airbag resistor which should have come with the boss depending on which one you've got. I'll dig out my pics when I get home from work or check my project thread as they may be in their.

I've got your old boss mate, it's mainly the horn that concerns me...

I had to get an airbag resistor off eBay which I've also used on my truck. It's a while since I had it on the mk2 so can't remember without looking bk what I did regards the horn. I'll check later
