This might be a stupid question but i've owned my mk1 fabia vRS for nearly two weeks and just curious, should the boot pop open when i click the boot button on the key? Or should it just open the boot when all doors are locked? Mine doesn't seem to do anything/:

If you have the 3 button key fob then the centre button is for the boot release. Press and hold the button for about two seconds and the boot should pop open enough for you to lift the boot. If the car is locked this will only open the boot. Do not put the keys in the boot because the boot will lock immediately when closed.

Thanks, mine doesnt seem to do anything when pressed once but i'll try pressing and holding it to see if it pops, looks like the release has been changed as it as an orange plastic surround or is this standard?

Yeah that's standard.

It's not meant to open the boot wide open, simply pops it so you just need to lift.
