Locking button rod - drivers door

Featured Replies

Just putting back the drivers door card back and the rod that has the locking button on the end disengaged at the lock end and fell out.

Does anyone have a picture of where the correct hole is on the lock that I must connect it to.

Many Thanks

I don't have a pic to hand but could get one later. I can describe it though as a plastic plate with a kind of plastic hook at the top. It's roughly in line with the exterior handle cable but on the other side. Attached to a spring and metal catch.

Thanks for that. I used a small mirror and found a plastic "catch" that looks like a barb and behind it is a hole. I put the end of the rod into the hole and sprung back the barb to get the rod behind it. It seems that the barb is supposed to hold the rod near vertical but you know what it is like when you are trying to connect up the led wires and then the rod flops about as you lower the card into the slot at the top!.

Many thanks for a quick response.

I know mate its a pita and can be a handful trying to get door card on, interior handle clipped, feed in the led and lock button, we've only got one pair of hands! But yeah that hook helps to hold it upright until it flops down, when it does it pops out quite easily.
