Octavia 2012 Estate L&K Edition - Bluetooth / Mic

Featured Replies

Hi

My wife has a 2012 Octavia Estate L&K edition, Bolero head with MFSW &, checked under the drivers seat and there is room to plug something in.

It would seem although L&K is supposed to be the top spec it doesn't come with blue tooth oddly.

I've got a few questions if somebody wouldn't mind helping out as talking to our local Skoda dealer wasn't very helpful, infact I found them rather confusing as they said they would fit something that would be an extra button which didnt sound right as from what I can tell the MFSW is ready and on the HUD it has all the phone options so surely its just missing the unit and maybe a mic?

  1. Does the L&K already have the microphone fitted in the ceiling near the light?
  2. What is actually needed to be installed to get bluetooth working, along with the MFSW, voice calls coming out of the speakers and a mic working.
  3. Is a kit like this suitable http://www.carcommunications.co.uk/car-accessories/hands-free-car-kit/skoda-bluetooth/fiscon-handsfree-oem-bluetooth-basic-plus-vw-skoda-36496/ or can anyone recommend something else as £300 seems a bit steep for the unit excluding the mic and fitting.
  4. Assuming there is a microphone built in already is this something I can fit myself just by plugging in what ever it is into that socket under the seat?
  5. Any good reputable companies in the Suffolk area (can only seem to find ones up North)

Thanks for your time.

Eddie-NL was doing a kit IIRC and he doesn't live too far away from you.
