Alright lads.

Just had my first Skoda and im impressed. My brother in law has had mk1, 2 and 3 octavias and 3 fabias. Hes always commended them. We did frequent the South Wales meets a few years back. I can see why hes always had them, brilliant car for the money.

Welcome aboard, we're a friendly lot on here. A problem shared is a problem halved (unless it's money!)

Made my first purchase today, a set of mudflaps. The rear seems a magnet for dirt.

Yes, you do get a lot of spray up the rear bumper. The mud flaps do reduce this a great deal, so well worth having them.

Which reminds me, I must get round to fitting my front ones as well.

Yeah I bought both sets too. Noticed quite a bit of tar spots (white car) up side of car.

Mudflaps fitted today. Wheels ordered on monday, should be with me wednesday.

What rims are you putting on?

The factory recommended Eibach 25-30mil drop springs are a must with 17's or bigger

Bugger, set of black wolfrace 17s i have coming. Planning on saving up for the eibachs as the next modification. Thought i might get away with it for a while.

Well the issue is only visual.  I hate the gaps above my 17's.  I'm going to change the springs when I get back to the UK in the summer.

Some on here have had them done for around £200 parts and labour I think.
