I feel like I am repeating myself over and over again. For those who are new to thread and just starting reading I have took their advice which is to see a VAG specialist and the best independent garage in Birmingham according to the good garage scheme, both got me f****** no where.

 

Yet they want me to put my trust in a garage. Fine I will do that if you can guarantee me that they wont f*** up. If you can guarantee me £1000 that they wont mess up then I will put my trust in a garage and will go to a garage now. Happy to proceed?

It sounds to me like the OP needs to go to college so he can call himself a mechanic and fix the car himself.

 

Buy a haynes manual, do the work yourself saving £40-60 and hour and prove all the specialsts that any monkey can do their job.
