Coil shaped light on, what's wrong ?

Hi palls, I got a Skoda Superb ||, 2010, for a long time the 'Check Engine' light was on in my dash but I've just ignored it, driving with it..I haven't noticed any change after that one comes on. For about 2 weeks the 'Coil' one comes on too, with this message: "Engine Fault: Workshop"..and when it's happening I can feel the car loosing the power considerably.

I took the car to the local garage, on tow, because Friday morning refused to start at all, and yesterday I took it back, they said was the camshaft and the water pump, all changed for £550..but surprise, today when I drove the car away that coil and the mesage comes again on my dash (including loosing of power), which means the same symptoms again as was before taking it to garage, for me is like nothing changed.

Tomorrow is a must to get the car back to that garage and sort it out, in my opinion I've paid £550 for nothing.

Does anyone know what it can be, because for me looks like a big nightmare and I real need my car every day? Thanks

The car needs scanning, the coil light is a general warning light, without a scan anyone is guessing what the issue maybe.

I assume the garage did a scan before doing the work?

Also ask if they changed the cam belt... only a fool would refit a used cam belt.

A friend said, this could be EGR, if it loosing the power, especially, I can run more than 3000x rotations, I feel like the engine do a limitation when I get to 3000 rota !

Had the same problem on 170cr. Had to change shut off valve situated in front of the engine. Some oil leak came from it as well. Check the connector on it. If u got oil in it .if yes, 100 percent chances

Did you get the fault fixed?

you need to get yourself a fault reader they are very cheap and it would probably have saved you £550,

The EGR is a common fault on these cars but it could be the MAF sensor which is used to control the EGR.
