High Beam Assist Sensor..............

Featured Replies

Where abouts is the Sensor located. Is is behind the interior mirror. ?

Reason for asking is I've ordered a Dash Cam which has a Small 1.5 inch screen. I'm thinking the light from the screen might upset the sensor, thinking a car or street lights are present therefor not allowing the sensor to operate the HBA.

Your thoughts please.

Thanks

It should be alright Andy. The sensor is on the back by the windscreen. Some models of dash cam let you turn the screen off anyway

On the vRS it utilises the lane assist camera..its multi-purpose and of course on the windscreen direcrly it will be fine.

Just be caerful the glow from the screen doesn't affect the sensor on the auto-dimming mirror. SUK recommends SatNags are kept away from the screen for this reason
