Dealer advised the wife new Scout will be built week 18. Order went through this monday (week 11 i think), so 7 weeks seems pretty quick but guess its how long the boat takes then!

 

Fortunately or unfortunately (for me) she's got my vRS to play with when i not using it - eek. Hopefully the Scout wheels / tyres less easy to kerb than mine!

 

Anyone else likely to be around then with build / delivery?

Ordered mine at the end of week 7.

It is confirmed in production this week ( week 12)

The plan is to pick it up at my local dealer in Norway in week 15  :clap:

So hopefully it`s about 9 weeks from order to delivery.

That seems pretty quick build, I was thinking dealer maybe a little optimistic but sounds from your dates like he maybe about right - not sure how the delivery is different for you guys vs UK in terms of it going on a ship etc.

My Elegance, ordered about a week and a half ago, is build week 15 (w/c 6th April) and expected delivery week 20 (w/c 11th May)

That's for an order to the UK.

I`ve got an email from my dealer today who could tell me that the factory was done with my car today, so now it`s all up to the shipping-guys :cocktail:

There is Easter and holydays comming up, but hopefully everything is going smooth :clap:

He gave an estimate of 4 weeks delivery after its buildt.

And thats quite ok by me, can hopefully use the summerwheels when it gets delivered.

Update for my order:

My car was done at Mlada Boleslav 19. march.

Arrived Bremerhaven 26. march.

Shipped 29. march.

Arrived Norway 30. march.

ETA dealer 7. april ( because of Easter)

So...I guess I will be the lucky owner of a brand new Scout in the end of next week

mine was build 11.3.15, and is waiting for me at the dealership now.

Will be picked up after easter.

Can't wait.

That was fast. Havent heard from my dealer yet. It was supposed to be buildt around the same time as yours.

 

But I guess the transport up north can take som time..... 

Hmmm ordered our elegance estate with 4x4 in the UK two and a half weeks ago. We were told to expect it between 8 and 12 weeks![emoji16]

So they're giving themselves a month's leeway?!

Mind you, I was quoted 2-3 weeks on my stock order. It's been five...

But I pick it up tomorrow :)

Just had update from dealer, now brought forward a week to build week 17, so hopefully might catch an earlier boat to Grimsby or port of Tyne!

Also have build week 18 and estimated arrival at dealer of the end of May.

Dealer has emailed to confirm build next week (week 17) with what I think is an optimistic 2-3 weeks after that to reach them after that - delivery week 20 / 21. 10 week factory order to delivery wouldn't be too bad I guess

Hoping to get an update next week on my car. Last week it was still awaiting to start build.

Just heard from leasing company, car on way to the dealer and should be with me at the end of the month. Ordered 14/02

Think it must be the fact I ordered the "free" standard blue... Had to order the tin of blue paint, especially for me!

I ordered my race blue DSG vRS TDi hatch on March 23rd, picked it up on 14th may. 7 weeks 3 days from order to collection.

I ordered a Scout on 18/03 and just had the paperwork through from the finance company on 15/5 saying the car is at the dealer. They haven't said how long it will take from now so fingers crossed only a few weeks!

Oh that's interesting, presumably yours is at Murrays Valley Road ? My vrs came from there but the scout is from carrs in Exeter as this who the wife will deal with due to being close to work etc. ours was awaiting boat from Germany about a week and half back so may be in Exeter now or very soon - may have been same boat / transporter!

With the VW finance lease we've got they reckoned between a few days to a week to release funds (and car) from car arriving with dealer and paperwork signed.
