Nissan Leaf deals

It might seem that, but the same as many Motability Lease, Full Award for 3 Years & £599 Deposit for the middle model.

then No Insurance for 3 years, buy no fuel, pay no Maintenance / Servicing, and hand it back and get some money back if the cars conditions is good.

Motability is often not as good as a Personal Lease arrangement for getting transport,

but then you do not need any Credit Ratings, and its all rather simple really.

motability is £60 a week is it not? And you don't get anything back at then end of the term.

Sort of.  The High rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance is £56.75 per week.

So as George says, the Motability costs for a Leaf are the Full award (i.e. £245.92 a month) and needs a £599 deposit in advance too.

Bit more that the £129 a month and £282 deposit.  Point taken about insurance and other potential costs.

Gaz

Up to 20,000 miles a year mileage allowance with a Motability lease,

so anyone that is using their car for 50-60 miles a day can be saving maybe £6-7 a day on Fuel Cost,

maybe just for work and leisure time use,

while the vehicle is costing you under £8.50 a day or so for 3 years.

Saw a broken down Leaf under an M6  motorway bridge yesterday. Lady driver standing at the side of the road. Out of battery power?

 Out of battery power?

Well she can't have put the wrong fuel in it....could she.

Sorry for using this thread but just to save starting a new one.

?

Has anyone any experience of the Vauxhall Zoe, talking prices with dealers, road testing etc.?

How did your Zoe investigations go?

At that time to chop in my wifes run around.  We normally change every 2-3 years ish to the usual suspects - Past few cars have been a Golf GT Tdi , Fabia Vrs , Octavia Vrs , Volvo S60 D5 and currently on a 2009 Civic.

As she only does around 5000 miles a year with a longest round trip of 40 miles, I am considering a new plug in before the government grant scheme stops.

Some great deals out there on a Leaf or Zoe.  Trying to make the numbers work atm.

I only looked around them at the Dealers and decided that there is only so much Fugly i can have in my life.

Plenty of cheap used VW e-UP! about,

but that is for a reason.

I reckon a Golf GTE would suit my needs, but i am unlikely to pay the price of these nearly new,

and at 4 year old would not be wanting one.

I reckon the Tesla S is the one for me, but if i could afford one, then there are cars i would rather buy and stuff saving the planet.

So i will stick with burning petrol in cars and just having a Folding Electric Pushbike for now.

what's cheap   I haven't looked yet for used

There are 7 advertised here currently, but i have been offered used ones for under the like of the £12,500 asking price.

Under £12,000
