Featured Replies

as above and what injectors you running?

I think a lot of the guys are running standard Injectors and archeiving around 250-260

I think also the other orefdered choose is the DSSR Injectors.

I bought dssr 130's but with the fuelling turned down it still smoked like a **** took them out sent them back and ordered some dssr 90's the 130's in my opinion are to big for the gtb2260 i've put standard ones back in and got a 260bhp map on for now will update when the dssr 90's are in and live mapped

Surely the ecu control (map) controls the injectors?

They don't have to be flat out, they can be controlled with correct mapping.

If your mapper can't control +130's correctly what difference will +90's make?

Running 130s here and ##!!##h have had no problems with the fuelling. :)  Map still needs refining but it's not too bad.  This is at Rockingham on a trackday.

When you say fueling was turned right down, was it just the fueling maps (drivers wish, smoke, torque), or were the durations altered accordingly aswell?

Out of interest who have you got to do your mapping?

I'm presuming NOT Darkside ;)

To be fair yours is the only PD I've seen with acceptable smoke levels on bigger nozzles :)

It can be bad when booting it for first time after a gentle run, but I have seen much worse. :)

At the moment my only slight annoyance is a grey wispiness on light to medium acceleration.  I think it is over fuelling slightly.  All to be settled in time as mapping isn't a finite thing :D  It's an evolution.

Surely 30% uprated injectors have more headroom and will need mapping dynamically, every single value in the map will need altering to compensate for the increased fuel delivery which means a few hours on a dyno at the very least.

Edit: A smart guy like Faboka might be able to alter the map values algorithmically but I reckon it'll still need some dyno time to fine tune it.

DNA tuning standard injectors really good now awaiting the dssr 90's if I had devonutopia turbo I would have stuck with the 130's but the 90's can flow up to 320bhp which is plenty for what I want

hence why mines going on the rollers when I get the 90's next week

I do know I am going to have to flash on my base map for my MOT though :D  I don't think it will pass particulate test.  It might, but not sure.  :D

Standard injectors running 263bhp

Ran DSSR 90% on my polo mapping was by Faboka

Running stock on the fabia but might fit my nozzles again at a later date

And more importantly NOT a smoke machine!

what power was you running on your 90's m8?

what power was you running on your 90's m8?

little less than the Fabia but it was a quicker car on the road due to the larger spread of usable power

don't get drawn into the 'how much power will my car make' get it mapped so its usable and not a fuking smoke machine

reasonable estimates are between 260-270bhp with a lovely smooth power curve to 4800rpm on a stock 1.9pd with a [email protected]

i can feel the difference running stock injectors against the DSSR 90% between the Polo & Fabia

BHP is king though when your sat in Mcd's car park bruv :D
