Jacking points?

Featured Replies

Any obvious jacking points on the car? Other motors I had have a triangle sign or notch out the sill, something to give a clue at least but haven't seen this on the citigo?

There should be those triangles under the sill. I've seen them.

can't miss them if you look underneath. look along the sill and you will see the jacking point clearly.

I'm sure there is also a mark on the outer sill to show where they are..........but do not hold me to it.

Having changed a wheel I can confirm that there's a notch in the will that mates with the jack.

I'm 99.9% sure there's a mark too.

The marks are definitely there.

I've never had the pleasure yet [emoji6]

I can't believe I typed "will" instead of "sill" and never noticed.

I've had the pleasure, twice!! :@

I've had the rears off when I painted the rear drums. I also gave the wheels a good clean and sealed them with Carbon Collective wheel sealant (really good stuff http://carboncollective.eu/shop/?product_tag=wheel-sealant ). I also put some copper grease on the hub mounting face to prevent the wheels corroding onto the hubs. Only 6 months old and there was some corrosion already.

That's one on my list to do. That Grey colour is getting on my nerves [emoji57]

Yes I found the marks now, thanks. What I want to do is make an adaptor to sit on top of my bottle jack and locate in the sill jacking point. Would appreciate someone posting an image of the Skoda Jack, the end that sits in the sill, so I can use it as a guide.

thanks again, barnie

Is there enough room for bottle jack? You may need trolley jack, low one, to fit it under the car.

You might be correct, my jack is 7" so maybe too tall, I'll check tonight

7"? Not a chance!
