NEW ENGINE IN!

Featured Replies

the new engine is in and running smoothly defiantly a CTHE as its power delivery is far different than my cave seems to use more turbo and roars more and kick's like a mule all in all i miss my CAVE though as it seemed to throw you back in your seat more bare in mind I'm not caning it as i need to bed the engine in for a few hundred miles all in all well impressed my girlfriend says the car feels faster anyway but hey no way of knowing without a DYNO

Great Stuff.

Easy to know what the Engine is because they will have given you a Letter Signed by the Technician to Confirm to the DVLA / VOSA

or anyone else of the Engine change and the Original  Engine Numbers for a CTHE so that you or anyone in the future can get parts.

That will then be good and dandy.

Is there a new ECU in the car now?

There should be an Invoice showing the Parts & Code Numbers & if not ask for a copy, its your car.

So has the Service Book been written up,

and have you to service it by the cars milage or as a brand new engine with new oil and a Variable Service Code?

PS

You had a failing engine before it was replaced, this one should feel better, new plugs, oil and all.

Any other new parts installed, Cat for example?

Well guys after some serious driving last night I recon these two engines behave completely different the cave seemed to be more torque than the CTHE but the CTHE just puts out pure power
