Using BMW alloys

Featured Replies

My Mk1 Octavia takes 205/55/16 tyres on 5 stud alloy wheels.  I also have a scrap BMW 328 which also has 205/55/16s on 5 stud wheels

Do you know if they are likely to be interchangeable or will i just try them on and see?  Thinking of using the good BMW ones when the current tyres wear, then keeping a spare set for winter tyres..........

If you have both cars then the best and most accurate way of telling will be to take one off and try it.

If the centre bore, stud fitment and offset of the BMW wheels are the same as the mk1 Octavia then go for gold.

You can check on here the different PCBs, off sets and centre bores.

Alloy Wheels Fitment Guide

Your MK1 Octavia has a PCB of 5x100. BMW alloys are most probably 5x120, and will not fit.

Yep going by the tables shown the beemer wheels won't fit

Oh well - at least I can use the tyres which are identical  :sun:

Maybe there is a market for second hand BMW alloys? If they are in good nick, they can give you some money in your pocket.....

There are adaptors.  People are akways fitting the X5 "claw" alloys to mk4 golfs :D

There always fitting them as they're not the strongest of wheels with a low profile tyre and crack really easily

They do look good on a mk4 though
