Not good seen grease oozing out and thought cv joint buy some one filled box with grease

It used to be common for the unscrupulous to use Grease & Sawdust to get a vehicle ready for sale.

When clutch is done will be sending box in to get it reconditioned

Don't worry your gearbox is not full of grease.

 

The grease is leaking from the inner (tripod type) CV joint rubber boot.

I've checked the joint and can't see any grease there

In the first picture you can actually see grease on the CV joint boot ????

Check again and you will most certainly find a hole or split in the boot.

Your right found small hole was tiny
