I am looking at a set of 18" RS6 alloys for my mk1 fabia and my question is, will they fit without rubbing. Think the tread on this is 45 depth?

The wheels "will fit" (assuming they are replicas with 5*100 PCD) but that tyre size is too big.  You need 215/35 R18 and that is seriously low profile

 

If I were you, stick to 17" as the maximum with the acceptable 205/40 R17 tyre,  

Yea they're 5x100 lad. They'll fit onto the hubs. Yea I thought that might be an issue. They are brand new tyres on the alloys which is the only thing. So you reckon they'll definitely rub? 

Yes they will rub for sure, the size is completely wrong and will be adding a considerable amount to the rolling radius. Not only will they rub but the speedometer will also read incorrectly.

 

18s don't really work on the MK1 Fabia due to the extremely low profile tyres needed.

If they are brand new you might be able to sell them on, and get tyres in your choice.  However I still stand by the fact 18s are not "right" on a fabia.

Yea well I havent purchased them yet its just a friend of mine is selling them. I'm looking into a set of 16" BBS Montreals which should be more like it!
