Interior wiring for fl vrs

Featured Replies

Hi all. First post here. Have searched thoroughly but to no avail.

I've had my octavia vrs 2l tsi 60plate for just under a year now.

I've recently had lots of issues with the drivers side electrics. Wing mirror not working. No control to rear window. And now central locking only working for the nearside doors.

It would appear the issue is down to water ingress in the connection blocks between the body of the car and the door. Both sides had bad corrosion.

I've since cleaned up the female side of the blocks (car side) and have replaced the door wiring loom completely. This hasn't helped at all(but thankfully didn't make things worse)

If someone could have a look at their female block connectors for me that'd be amazing. Namely the smaller of the two black connectors. Mine only has three pins inside and I have a feeling a couple more have corroded and removed themselves when I removed the door loom.

If this is the case and the Internal wiring needs replacing does anybody have any information that could be of use to me. Such as part numbers and procedures. Is it diy-able or a pro job?

Many thanks in advance. I think I'll be back asking more questions soon as I'm awaiting delivery of a Bluetooth module.
