Bubble Car Museum

Featured Replies

Thinking of visiting this weekend and it got me wondering if any other `oldies` on this forum ever owned one.
Myself, I owned a `Trojan` at the end of the 60's. It was tremendous fun.

My uncle owned one, but I cannot place which on it was. I know that the front opened and, I think, the steering column moved with it.

Anyway, Gordon was an ex-miner of considerable stature, so looking back it seems implausible that he actually fitted into one, leaving wife Josie out of the equation altogether.

?Where is this museum? Nowhere near me I will wager.

I am in Norwich area 10-12 April, so it might be a little trip out.

Theres one near Boston that i visited but I think theres another more general one which includes a few rare microcars as well and thats somewhere in Kent.

Dad had a BMW Isetta - the one with a door at the fron, no reverse gear, twin rear wheels and half a BMW motorbike engine...   had to be careful not to park too close to a wall apparently!

Your description would suggest a Trojan like mine.

In those days I was slim enough to get in with my wife by my side...not these days though!!!!

The museum is near Boston..........

A trip out might be nice.

Yeah...I remember travelling down from Salisbury, where I was stationed, all the way down to Plymouth.

When we came to anything resembling a hill I had to ask my wife and daughter to get out and walk...I kid you not!!!!
