MK2 Fabia Stock Radio

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the name or part number of the stock radio for a MK2 Fabia? A friend has recently bought a 59 plate Fabia with an aftermarket headunit but thinks it looks too flashy and would like to replace it with an original one.

swing

I was considering getting rid of my stock radio for something different, one word of warning, not sure if its my unit or something that happens accross the range but even the slightest mark on a disc and it picks it up, very annoying!

That's interesting to know. I'll pass on the warning. Thanks.

I have one for sale but its from an 08 plate its called Dance

conor, I too have a '59' plate estate Fabia and it has the 'Dance' cd/radio. I actually feel it's better unit than the Swing. I'm not sure what year they changed from Dance to Swing.

i know my 62 plate fabia vrs had a swing and the 13 plate monte fab also had a swing radio

If you buy one privately - make sure you get a code!

The radios are linked to the cars - so it knows when it is in the correct car. Otherwise you will need to enter a code to get it to work.

I got the code for my stereo when I bought my car as I was worried about this issue at the time.

As others have mentioned - the cd player it tetchy on older "Dance" models. Mine has its moments, especially with discs with any marks / scratches.

I found the dance to be a waste of time lol i now have an original old school apine, 50 watt × 4 with a built in amp and a 1200 watt sub i ran the same setup on the dance and the alpine sounds and looks a million miles better
