vrs turning circle

Featured Replies

Does anyone think that the turning circle of the vrs isn't that great? It just doesn't feel as sharp as some cars, really notice it when reverse parking

It's a lot better than my previous (smaller) car, a 2005 Honda Civic 5-door Type-S, even though the vRS has 225 section tyres against the Civic's 205 and you would think that the wider tyres would restrict the steering lock.

Can't speak for the RS, but if it's similar to the Elegance models, it's absolutely awesome compared to my previous Volvo. Feels way more nimble.

Turns like a tanker.

Excellent on my Vrs. That's one of many reasons why most of our taxi's are Octavias. I call call it Taxi turning circle when I spin round in the road.

My sons Focus ST is atrocious, even he says that.

I think it's great, especially with the variable ratio steering rack.

Try a Volvo V70 and then compare :D I`m loving it :D

I'm comparing it to a 2011 C Class.... And it turns like a tanker in comparison to the Merc.

A forklift turns like a tanker compared to a rear wheel drive merc...

But yeah, coming from a Volvo the Octy feels like it can turn on a dime. Volvos seem to require an olympic sized stadium to do a U-turn.

Merc C Class was 10.84 m vs Skoda Octavia MK3 VRS at 10.4???? Might be wrong oaths though.

Mine turns on a dime, well pleased!

I don't know the figures, but to get into the works car park you have to do a 180 to get though the gates.

This was easy in the Merc, in the VRS I have to swing out or I'm going to collect the entrance post.
