New V6 TDi Superb owner

Featured Replies

Good morning! As of yesterday I am a Superb owner, and it is as the name suggests! But I've seen the horror stories about the V6 TDi, so does anyone know of a Skoda specialist they'd recommend in Scotland? Preferably close to fife?

Thanks :)

Welcome aboard EMM  :hi:

What horror stories have you seen/heard?

As the name suggests, I have the same V6TDi, and although we've probably got our fair share of dissenters, and people who'll laud the praises of a chipped 1.9PD130 instead, most of us that have 'em like 'em and wouldn't go back to a 4 potter.

Thanks gents :)

The issues I've seen are regarding mostly regarding the VP44, but tbh if it goes it goes. It's a lovely engine to waft about in and actually sounds rather nice! Going in to a local specialist on Tuesday for a check up :)

Ummm, he said the VP44 word!! ;-)

Think you're right to be pragmatic. If it happens, it happens. Ain't worth worrying about, and it is fixable.
