Hey folks!!!

Well am frm india,i have started project for upgrading the turbo on my mk1 VRS(150 bhp AUM code)...

I need a bit of help from the experts... I need to know whats the maximum boost i can go on my stock internals... The car is pretty clean...and has done 70,000 kms on odo... My new turbo is combo of t3/t4 with external wastegate I hav a front mount intercooler aswell....and costom made 3" free flow exaust... Currently am running on stock internals and fuel injectors.. But i do have fuel pressure regulator...

Plz let me know the max boost i can go without harming the engine...

And can someone please tell me how do i upload the pics i wanna show u guys my turbo setup...

The generally accepted maximums for stock internals are 300bhp and 300lb/ft of torque.

Thankx rob for the reply!!!

What i would like to know is what boost i can run on,without damaging the engine!!

I'm far from being an expert but as I understand it there's not really a limit on the amount of boost as such. It needs to be mapped properly with the new turbo so it runs right. Just turning up the boost won't go well.

Too much torque will bend your rods :D

Thankx a lot for the info...and do i get forged pistons and forged crank from the factory... Or do i need to replace both of them too...

As per your guidence i am ordering my forged con rods through ebay..

You really need to speak to a local tuner who knows the 1.8t and can advise you properly.

As for the photos upload to photobucket or similar and copy/paste image url.

@rob, the problem here in india is most of the tuners don know anything about these engines...they are more into vtecs and suzukis..
