anyone know this north east car

Featured Replies

I was looking at this the other day. The bloke claimed it was running about 240bhp or something, but it didn't even have a FMIC.

It looks like it's possibly been put back to standard for the sale?

Cheers.

We are looking at it tomorrow as we have a modified one to compare

I think it's been into Darkside at some point cause there was a sticker in the back window, but obviously that proves nothing. He did say there was receipts for all the work though I think

The bloke seemed genuine enough, just don't think he knew much about the mods tbh,

The pink bits are terrible though lol

We have haggled on the pink bits already.

I'm looking for a fun daily so ideally I want all the bits on for the money being asked.

I shall update the thread tomorrow.

Hmm that's a little worrying. If it only has a smic it won't make anything north of 180-90 for very long. 240 is optimistic for anything this side of a GTB turbo.

As you say dark side sticker means nothing. Especially if its already had bits taken off. Have to assume that anything you can't see isn't there anymore.

It's interesting that there are no pictures of the engine bay even though he is claiming 240bhp.

I'd be very careful.

+1 for the above is my vote.

240 would be needing some serious work to be reliable...

We saw the car today.

-looks like a standard turbo

-running no FMIC

-has some sort of unit cable tied in the front left of bonnet which must be the mapping box

-the boost pipe on the left of the engine was weeping oil

-TT brakes

I don't think it's a bad car just not for me so I didn't make an offer. The guy was honest so it was in no way a slant on the company selling it I don't think he was a fabia enthusiast.
