VRS idle judder

Featured Replies

So I bought my 07 plate about 3 weeks ago on 78k and noticed the juddering instantly, after 100 miles of driving the light for exhaust emissions come on, got that scanned which was egr which was sorted and cleared the light.

My question is what is causing the juddering? Had 3 different places scan it and nothing is showing and they're all trying to say it's normal, is it?

try searching BLT judder, may be issue with EGR gasket

Likely to be this ^ mine also does the same occasionally and sometimes has a bit of a stutter below 2k. Could be worth removing the EGR and inlet manifold, giving them a good clean out then refitting. If that doesn't cure the problem then look into the gasket fix.

Or could also be under 'stutter'

Isnt this a common problem? Put the rear demister on.....

Mine sometimes shakes like mad at ide and other times it's fine I just put air con and heated screen on when it does it and it goes away .... It's a different problem to blt stutter at 2k as I had that as well but a modified gasket soon fixed it .... Some people have said setting the injector torsion can fix it but iv never tryed as it dosent really bother me much as I'm never really as idling for long

Mine does not have any idle issues but I get the 2k stutter sometimes depending on throttle position.  I am not doing anything about it right now since I am doing a remap and EGR delete soon anyway.

I had the sub 2K stutter and removing the EGR was unsurprised as it was completely clogged and not closing properly on acceleration!  Cleaned it out, removed intake manifold and had it dipped in an acid/caustic bath to bring the insides up like new (they were unbelievably clogged up).  Didn't bother with the EGR delete kit...I just fitted a blanking plate to the turbo manifold where the EGR take-off is then coded out the EGR from the map.  Happy days, better performance and no more stutter.
