Best method for fitting new front speakers

Featured Replies

Read a few threads just seeking clarification. I see they are riveted in, I have plastic speaker spacers and a few drill peices.

What do I do about the revits and what drill size and screw/bolts I use etc to attach speakers etc.

Cheers

Bump.

I've got a few drill bits and screws, or do I need bolts?

Cheers

dont know tbh i just bought some rainbow front speakers will be fitting them next weekend so will update then

At a wild guess, I think it was 6mm to drill through the metal carrier rivets? I could be wrong!

I think the speakers were the same!

Yeah drill through rivets then just use screws?

Cheers

Why not drill out rivets and replace. before that , check the phase on the new speakers to get the in phase. ( For those ignorant- it ensures both are moving out on one pulse of sound).
