A Vrs today and a Vrs a year ago

Featured Replies

So i have had my Vrs combi for just over a year, and my friend is  looking to buy one similar, i priced up the same spec car with a few add ons and the cost of the car now is nearly £4000 dearer than what it was when i got mine.

What has changed or was it purely a losing seller to start with to get people to buy them?

<<<<< Maybe time to update the car details on the left then sharky? ;)

Supply and demand, the VRS has been so popular they have slowly increased the price.

Often what's done is the base price goes up a little bit, but popular extras also go up quite a bit.  What is the difference between the two stock VRS cars and then the difference between the option?

I respeced mine on the configurator and mine had gone up nearly 2.7k

This is why I have been looking at other brands. Skoda just want far too much now for the cars.

I just did my original order spec (as that's the only one I have an rrp from) and it comes in ~£400 more.

Having said that, cruise is now standard (which I didn't spec) so it must be down to either the combi or the upgrades.

Not sure how you got to £4k more??

The prices haven't gone up that much in the last year.

+1

My car's extras below in my signature block went up by £800 two weeks after it was built and 2 weeks prior to delivery. Judging by most peoples' orders they are some of the most popular extras. Canton rose by £100 along with the full winter pad, folding mirrors and black pack, spare wheel etc. Even though I had only paid a small holding deposit, the firm supplying it didn't increase the price, which was contrary to their contract blurb. Very happy Skoda Driver....

This was always going to happen the more popular Skoda gets the more the price well go up we may not all like it but it's what happening to skoda being part of vw is good thing but it does have it's down sides too.

I im happy to pay the prices as long as the standard of workmanship and reliability are up to the standard I have come to know from skoda
