VCDS on a Fiat

Featured Replies

Anyone had any joy scanning a Fiat with VCDS? My daughter is looking at a Fiat 500 (can't talk her into anything else!) and I am wondering whether to ask the seller if I can use my VCDS cable on it to check for faults.

Thanks in advance

Adam

I've heard it will do the very basics on other brands, never tried it myself though.

To be fair, the 500's aren't bad for what they are, unless you're over about 5' 8", then you'll be driving with your knee shoved up against the gearstick.

Steve: luckily we are a family of relative short arses ...

Should do obdII diagnostics. So engine, abs and airbag fault codes.

Cheers. Turns out the car was sold last night and the seller forgot to tell us till we turned up at the agreed time this evening. We only rang about it yesterday!

  • 2 weeks later...

It only has the capability to read and erase engine related obd compliant fault coded on non vw stuff.
