Featured Replies

hi all

my 1.8t 4x4 has a loss of power at high revs.it drives fine if i accelerate normally but if i boot it say to over take its starts to cough and splutter like she needs more fuel..i have a code of  17536 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean which  i think is maf injector or lambda but what is it more likely to be? i have recently changed the plugs and coil packs but it did this before so im pretty sure its not that.i only have a hand held scanner so not much more info to be had.

Wasn't yours too rich? Same symptoms?

A failing fuel pump would be leaning out top end.

Could also be unmetred air entering in via a split hose after MAF. This would also screw the fuel mixture.

Stick your code into Ross - tech website see what it says. Could be a few things, or simply a sensor issue as mentioned.
