Changing Seat belt stalk on o/s front

Featured Replies

i need to change the seatbelt stalk. I've read on another post that the 2 trims need to come off and undo the two bolts at front of seat. When seat pulled back fully.

But I'm wondering do I need to disconnect battery for srs system. Side impact Air bags etc.

Are the lightly to go off when moving the seat around or will it be safe to do with out disconnecting.

Thanks. Steve h

Always better to be safe than sorry.

Disconnect the battery. You will also probably find the bolt holding the buckle is a triple square (XZN) one.
