Scotland - The Roads of Harris & Lewis

Featured Replies

Description:

Plenty of well surfaced roads with little or no traffic; the odd big bus though. Plenty of historic sites to see aswell.

I'm afraid the 'well-surfaced' comment there is a little out of date :(

But, that said, it's quite unlike anywhere else in the country, great scenery and lots to see (Callanish Standing Stones for example, older than Stonehenge). I can give a tour if you like

It was out of date in 2005 wasn't it? Or maybe worn-out surfaces, badly spalled top dressings, and rutted tracks are good compared with Stevenage?

Just got back from there - quite a bit of fairly recent looking resurfacing. Some lovely roads and no traffic!
