hi all today i had to change a strut top mount but the nuts underneath had came loose from the mount and spun when i tried to take the bolt off from above so had to get the grinder out and grind the head off the bolts. Ive never liked the mounts with the nuts attached does anyone know if the tt mounts that have the studs coming up through and a nut that goes on the top will be a direct fit on a 07 1.9tdi bxe

No idea re TT mounts but I feel your pain, I had to hacksaw the bolts off mine and replaced them with nuts, bolts, threadlock and copious amounts of copper grease.

You could always weld your own bolts on like the TT ones you mentioned.

I thought about that or screwing a longer bolt from the bottom up and using loctite. i might buy a tt one and give it a try sometime.
