I've got some 18" zeniths and 2 have 215 and 2 have 225 tyres. Will the 225 ' s be ok on back and 215 on the front .

Should be fine.  You could even go 225F/215R.  I doubt anyone would notice

What are the actual size of the tyres, there is more to it than just the width. If the sidewall percentage results in a too much difference in the rolling radius the ABS and Traction control could throw a hissy fit and turn on the fault lights for ESP and ABS.

I would have thought that would be a great way to void your car insurance.

 

Off the top of my head, I don't know of any production FWD road car in the UK with narrower tyres on the front axle.

 

You can get a pair of 225 Rainsport 3's for only £150 - I just have. Then sell your 215's elsewhere.

I've got 225 tyres on my originals so may just swap those over to save any hassle. Cheers
