Odd Amundsen symbol

Featured Replies

I've noticed after a dealer retro fit of my Amundsen that in the top left side of the screen it always displays "No AF"

I do know that the aerial was only plugged straight into the FM socket and no Fakra cable was used. Could this be it?

Just curious really as it never has any effect on anything and I don't use AM channels.

The loan Spaceback was ok.

It's so long since i've seen my car...I'm not sure.

Do you use the DAB facility if you only have the one aerial connection?

BTW If it said RNoAF, I'd know the answer.  It'd be stolen from the Royal Norwegian Aif Force.

Haha yes [emoji16]

It has DAB in the settings and also something about AF too but like you I haven't seen it for so long [emoji57]

I'll have to play with it on return. It has a standard aerial and a single plug straight to FM on the Amundsen. Maybe because of no Fakra lead? I'm not sure.

No AF means "No Alternative Frequencies"

This allows a receiver to re-tune to a different frequency providing the same station when the first signal becomes too weak (e.g. when moving out of range).

So that means your RDS isn't working , theres probably a setup button in the menus.

Thanks for that gents. I'll investigate when I get a chance to see it again.

I'll probably need to fit the twin Fakra cable to sort this out sometime. Not important right now as I use Bluetooth most of the time for my music.
