PD130 - Diesel Pre Heater?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Does the pd130 superb range could with the pre heater so you arent sitting freezing while that big lump warms up?

Just wondering as it isnt on the Fab VRS (annoying at this time of year).

Cheers.

I'm sure some of the Audi models have such a feature. Would be a nice mod, and I'd be prepared to pay

It doesnt take that long to warm up as long as you don't sit there on tickover does it?

Mine warms up quickly enough and besides, its only a 1.9

But the octavia windscreen demister is CRAP and all skodas could do with a heated screen (to keep your hands warm when pushing it backwards up the hill of course)

DEFA has a comprehensive range of engine preheaters tailored for specific cars. See below:

But in answer to you question for this market it doesnt.

The Skoda ETKA shows their OEM pre-heaters are made by either Webasto or Eberspacher. Their UK agents may be able to help.

The Kenlowe works well, but as has already been pointed out, you need to park within reach of a main outlet. Mine is a 2 Kw heater, and takes about 50 minutes to bring the coolant on a Fabia vRS up to temperature. The 3 Kw model would be quicker.
