Parts needed for BHP upgrade

Featured Replies

I have just got a crashed 2006 TDI what do I need from it to upgrade a TDI to have it running at the higher 130 BHP?  :D

Assuming its the 1.9 pd100 engine, it should remap to approx 140bhp, without the need for any mechanical modifications.

I'd say break the car and sell the parts and then read devonutopias thread about his little pd100 lol.

Just do what ive done an remap it to 144 with half eco half power.

To answer your question.

The turbo is different, you need a pd130 turbo. A pd150 or hybrid pd170 is a common upgrade, would mean you could have a lot more potential for higher power of you wanted.

Next up is injectors, get a set of pd130/pd150 injectors, they are both exactly the same.

Scope for between 130 - 190bhp depending on which turbo and how much power you want.

i got turbo and 3 injector left atm forsale pm me

To get to 130.... Remap...

If replacing front end bits consider upgrading hubs/brakes to the 288mm system found on the VRS and 2.0 8V. (allows further upgrades to 312mm). OEM on the PD100 = 256mm and is not compatible).

Could go for turbo/injectors/remap to get to re-mapped VRS territory but torque would need limiting to prevent clutch/gearbox worries...
