Hi everyone, i've been searching for an answer but I could only find the Octavia versione, and it doesn't fit to my Fabia.

I've been trying for a couple hours to get rid of the stock knob, problem is the gaitor and the knob themselves won't come off. I'vè pulled on the knob since it doesn't screw, and the top of it came off, but now i'm stuck with half knob blocked on the metallic barrel, there's no clip as in Octavia (such as i'vè been seeing on the forum), just a plastic ring that won't move from it's position.

Can anyone provide a video or some images and maybe a short walk through? Pulling off the knob also damaged it so now I actually need to replace it.

_{You have to lift the gaitor up then you'll see a locking ring underneath the gear knob.  Turn this (can't remember which way though) and the whole gear knob and gaitor will come off.  It can be difficult to separate the gaitor and knob assembly where it shoves into the centre console so you have to use a plastic trim remover to persuade it.}

I actually found it but it was so hard it broke while rotating... not that I care, I was going to replace it anyway!
