Hi, i have a 2006 VRS BLT engine code, its had a remap but unsure on the power. Last week my flywheel started knocking, its done it for a while when cold but last thursday after a short trip to work i pulled up and it was constantly knocking. The problem is im going on a 10 day euro road trip to the nurburgring and worthersee in a couple of weeks.

 

Im not sure whether it will last for that, im looking at buying a new flywheel and clutch but obviously im at abit of a budget now because its so close to the trip.

 

Im looking on ebay and ive found a SMF and clutch kit for £260, the buyer is NOT techniclutch and has 100% feedback, I rang them to ask the brand of the clutch kit and they said it was national. 

 

Can someone offer some advice because as you can imagine im running out of time and im stuck to a budget unfortunately!!

I have one of the national smf kits fitted in mine and I've been very pleased with it so far (had it about a year) the pedal still feels very precise. it's coping fine with remap power as you would expect and I'm told it should take 300 ft/lb no problem. Also unlike some other smf kits it doesn't make noise at all!

Also has a 3 year guarantee if I'm not mistaken
