anyone know anything about bike cleaning stuff?

Im sure that if there were any issues with MucOff, Alan would have said so by now

Ive used it on my car with no problems at all...but not on a bike

Maybe it's been changed from what it used to be, but go on any MTB forum and ask (I'd suggest single track world).  There you'll be told it's safe so long as it's thoroughly rinsed/washed off, but if you do not, and many mtbers just do the 'through a bucket of water' rinse, IT WILL/DOES cause anodising to fade and more.

I'm thinking a diluted citrus pre wash or APC at say 1:10 in a spray bottle should work ok. Having looked at MucOff it seems just to be an All Purpose Cleaner.

https://muc-off.com/clean/10-bike-cleaner-5037835904000.html?ref_cat=8   use it most days , never had a problem, i'm not a part time cyclist and out all year every day ,like with anything follow instructions , and protect afterwards , its not harsh, washing up liquid is an irritant to skin , this is not, was out in the snow today riding home, was going to clean bike tomorrow but as it was covered in salt cleaned it as soon as home, the thing is, its developed to get the salt/silt/grime off your bike and running gear, trust me the crud left on it is a LOT more harmful  and  this website recommends Muc off http://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/bike-clean/

You have far more experience on this than me, do you think a diluted APC is good enough?

Yes that will be fine, or use your quid bottles!  :envy:  :)

Lol, sorry :)

Might be worth popping in every now & then if you're passing poundland.

I went to Guiseley store in the off chance they had some, as they are next door to Halfords , got some large bars of Toblerone though!  :D
