Cruise Control ECU

Featured Replies

Does anyone know (other than stripping the car) to see which ECU my car has?

I have compared the VIN number on http://vagfans.info/EN/vindecoder

and it has come back with a production date of 04.12.2006 but I cannot find out where to check which ECU it has fitted

A VCDS scan will give you the engine ECU details, but why do you need to know?

only certain ECU support cruise control retrofit.

Dont have VCDS :(

My 2007 Fabia vRS has cruise as standard. I haven't heard of anyone being unable to retrofit cruise to that version unlike some older base model Fabias.

Best thing to do is like i did. Contact skoda dealer. They told me 230 all in. And would take a day to fit

Ive not done it yet as money is tight.

Vrs models pd100 are fine. Ive misplaced a link that tells you its not recommended to fit to the 1.4 petrol because theres been proms with ecu controling the cc on inclines and underloads

Im guessing its just power thing then.
