my reverse lights don't come on when reverse engaged. ain't tried new bulbs yet, but if that don't work, any ideas?

Before you buy anything, check that the wires to the switch are not broken.

I got mine from ebay for £2.50 its still working today a year on.

This happened to my wife's car a year or so ago. When I unplugged the cable from the sensor on the gearbox there was oil in the plug, obviously from the gear box. Shorting the pins on the plug made the lights come on so it was obviously the sonsor.
