I drive quite a lot at night in the country on quiet roads.

 

Am finding the interior diffuse lights that are integrated in the front interior lighting a bit too bright.

Have turned the rheostat to lowest position.

 

Any way of turning them off?

 

I like a dark car inside at night, so will probably end up sticking something over the bulbs to dim them further if cannot turn them off.

 

 

Managed to turn the footwell lights off on the MFD when driving, they were set on as default.

No way to turn them off I'm afraid, not even with VCDS.

 

Your options are either taping them over or removing them altogether, although they are on a circuitboard that also holds the overhead lights, so unsure if that would be a wise thing to do.

Pity they are so bright even when turned down. On other make cars I drive they turn down unnoticable.
