Funny noise from engine ?

Hi all I've just noticed that there is a kind of clatter/knocking noise when stationary in neutral and in park it's only at low revs and stops when revs are increased.It also stops when in drive of reverse what could it be ???

My 06 vrs does this,apparently quite common but tbh mine sounds awful :(

    DMF. Mine was doing it not long after I bought the car. £650 later, it was fixed (by a local indy)

    Absolutely, the DSG is essentially just a mechanised manual anyway.

    How much would a new DMF cost me ? My friend said don't bother getting a cheap one
