Recently I got myself a 14 plate Skoda Fabia vRS and i'm enjoying it.. a lot. however looking to get the standard stereo replaced with the Columbus sate light navigation, not sure if my rear parking sensors will show the car on the console as it does with the standard system.

 

I got a quote for £1150 for the system + fitting but not sure if it's worth it? Is it easy to go on ebay, pick one up and install it yourself?

I would say half that would get you an installed unit. That's pretty much a sill price given that I have one for sale in the classifieds section for £400.

Although to be honest another local member has enquired about it so I'd be morally obliged to check with him before letting it go to anyone else. As for easy to fit, it's fairly straight forward if you have the basic skills to remove the existing one, and the fascia fits. If you need a different fascia (it depends on what you actually have in there) then that's a trip to the dealers, ebay, or the classifieds section on here will sometimes have what you need. After that it's a bit of coding with a laptop and VCDS program and fitting the gps antenna.
