Help please! VCDS Group 015 Consumption & Cooler Outlet Temp?

Featured Replies

Hi All, I am after some help, this may be related maybe not...

The other day I was trying to find a fault with my car to shed some light on one or two niggles I have with the way it drives, MPG, lag, etc.

I noticed the 'Fuel Consumption' in measuring block 015 was reading 3.23 l/h, knowing it should be 0.6-0.7 ish. OK alarm 1! I also noticed that measuring block 064 'Coolant Temperarure Coolant Outlet' was reading 21 degrees or so.Maybe a problem maybe not.

So down to solving consumption, this is to do with the rear ca so I believe so today I set myself the task of tweaking the rear cam till it was right. I get the car warmed up, leave it ticking over on the drive get the laptop out and plug it in to take a reading of the consumption before adjusting the cam and its reading 0.6!!! WTF!!!! I had a think about what could be altering this figue and guessed maybe a temperature setting, so checked the semperatures all about 88-91 and the Cooler Outlet was now sitting at 59 degrees. Could this be what is causing the l/h figure to change?

What should it read? The box that comes up on VCDS is Min Spec 75 degrees. Can someone please check their reading when warm to see what theirs is reading please? I dont know if its a dodgy temp sensor or wire or thermostat or even if its related.

Thanks.
