Essex Firebike Better Biking Course

Featured Replies

Went on the above course today, and can't recommend it highly enough. Rode some great roads, got loads of feedback from the instructors and was aloud to still play a little. Got there advanced machine skills course in July to do.

Also been told that with my standard of riding I should join and take the RoSPA test as they believe I have what it takes to get the gold achievement which is the highest rating and what they are all trained to. Will also give upto a 20% discount on insurance.

Was also especially pleased with how my fettled machine performed. Bearing in mind I usually clear a tank in 100-110 miles I managed to get near on 180 miles today out of 15 litres of fuel (17 litre tank)

Always a good thing to do and great to repeat or build upon. Local groups etc can be joined and worked with over time or dedicated courses.

Adrian Flux (Bike Sure is the bike name I think) used to give me a discount for advanced stuff. IAM attracts a wider integration with insurers in the discount side of things and Cornmarket  (formerly called Adelaide) being generally very competitive for members. Will match with better options or beat any quote you can find online and provide to them etc. Generally I always found that few companies recognised or took into consideration any advanced qualifications, then those who did were more expensive in the first place.

They are good days much like the the bike safe days, did you run out of boreham or a fire station this time??

We have quite a good relationship with the firebikers and they were at the last brands track day I did! I think that was an eye opener for them lol
