The garage forgot to turn off the service indicator, but I know it can be done without VDS, I have tried following the instructions in the manual but to no avail, when I put the ignition on it bongs service, so putting key in turn to on position and press the right hand button on the dash and then let go after a few seconds turn key back , but its still showing.

If it is anything like the non-Maxidot Octavia then you first need to press and hold the 0.0 button and then turn on the ignition whilst still holding down the button.
