Having the control module coded to the ECU seems ridiculous :(

 

thanks guys, guess I need to get a new loom and a new control unit/motor most likely.

It's more than likely just the loom that's gone unless the pins on the module are badly corroded. All that was needed on mine was a loom and I was lucky to find one. I still have my old one. If your any good at removing the terminals you can have it for £10 delivered if you want? It's just one pin that needs repairing.

thanks for the offer but skospares reckon a second hand loom in working order is £25. :)

 

The pins on mine are badly corroded.

That's ok see if they have a motor and control box too with the same part number off the original one.
